Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Teaser Poster At The Las Vegas Licensing Expo

So yesterday began the Las Vegas Licensing Expo and it was confirmed that Godzilla and TOHO would appear at the convention. The Licensing Expo is a place where all the major brand owners show off their characters, art, merchandising, etc. This is especially good to show off some Hollywood projects as well. Godzilla did make an appearance and there was not much there at first. At least until a certain stream from a YouTube channel, The Toy Geeks Network, may have accidentally revealed a major teaser for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, the sequel to the 2014 American Godzilla remake.

Even though it is just a silhouette of Godzilla, the 2019 date certainly has fans excited knowing that the movie's release is only one year away. So far, it looks like there has been no change to Godzilla's 2014 design. There was a lot of worry that there were going to be big changes to Godzilla's design. However, I think that if they did make any changes it would very small that it is hardly noticeable. With the teaser poster comes another image. Kong: Skull Island had a slight appearance and remembering back in the movie's end credit scene, there were images of the cave paintings that would connect both Godzilla and Kong being in the same cinematic universe. In one image showed King Ghidorah. The cave painting of King Ghidorah was also shown at the convention confirming that his time on the big screen is coming.

Godzilla: King Of The Monsters director, Michael Dougherty, has been teasing fans since the beginning of the movie's production. Last year at San Diego Comic Con, he showed off a teaser image of Mothra. This year for the Licensing Expo, he has been teasing more and more of King Ghidorah. Posting an image on his Twitter page, it shows a radar with what looks like a hurricane heading towards the whole east coast (mainly Boston) with the label, "Monster Zero," at the top. Monster Zero was King Ghidorah's nickname given by the aliens of Planet X when he appeared in Godzilla vs Monster Zero. Also, Boston is one of the places where they filmed the movie and perhaps this is where King Ghidorah will make his presence known for the first time in the movie.
