Vera Farmiga Discusses Her Character In Godzilla: King Of The Monsters

We finally get our first bit of information for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters. In an article from Metro, actress, Vera Farmiga, goes into details about her character and her character's role in the movie. From how she describes her character, it sort of reminds me of the old Hannah Barbera Godzilla cartoon. Farmiga's character is a paleobiologist that discovered a way to communicate with the monsters as well as potentially controlling them with bio-acoustics on a sonar level. In the cartoon, they use sound waves to call Godzilla to fight the monsters. While it may not be like the cartoon, the idea of communicating with the monsters is nothing new, but it will play a prominent role in the movie.

One reason why I find this idea interesting is that there are suppose to be mercenaries hunting these monsters. So now I'm imagining a scenario where these mercs are hired to kill the monsters and they steal Farmiga's idea to control the monsters and bring them to a populated area to set them up for a trap and the plan backfires. However the movie turns out, it will be interesting to see how Farmiga's character will control these monsters. Remember, this time we have FOUR monsters, Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah. So this could turn from a free for all battle to a 3-vs-1 fight in an instant with Farmiga sending a call to Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan to attack King Ghidorah.

Anyways, I have the link below if you want to check it out. Farmiga does not talk about her character that much. Most of the article is her talking about her other movie project, Skin, and her views on President Trump, but as far as details for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters this is just a taste of what to expect at San Diego Comic Con 2018. I want to thank Erik Matthews from The Nation facebook page for sharing the article. What do you guys think of the info? Let me know of your thoughts in the comments section.
