First Look At Godzilla: King Of The Monsters And More Story Info

First look at Godzilla: King Of The Monsters
The hype does not end!

You think that we wouldn't see any more news until next week, but the ride for this hype train has only begun. Tonight, Entertainment Weekly have given us our first official look at Godzilla: King Of The Monsters with the king himself front in center in ALL his glory. If this does not make it official that we are seeing a trailer at San Diego Comic Con 2018, then I don't know what does. This has everybody excited. You can even tell that in the photo above that Godzilla's atomic breath has sort of changed. It is much bigger than his atomic breath in the 2014 movie. This could be he is preparing his fight with King Ghidorah, Mothra, and/or Rodan as mentioned by director, Michael Dougherty.

Speaking of Rodan, Dougherty mentions that he has a soft spot for Rodan and that he is always the side kick and he even gives praise to the monster.

"In a lot of ways he’s more powerful than Godzilla. He’s like this winged A-bomb. I think we’ve done him justice.” - Michael Dougherty; Entertainment Weekly

On top of the picture reveal, we have a little more information on the story for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.

"The world is reacting to Godzilla in the same way we would react to any other terrifying incident, in that we are overreacting... but there’s paranoia and endless speculation about whether he is the only one out there or whether we’re threatened by others like his kind.” - Michael Dougherty; Entertainment Weekly

Millie Bobby Brown and Vera Fermiga in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters

So as we can tell, Godzilla has not been seen since his fight with the MUTOs in San Fransisco back in 2014, but paranoia has gripped everyone through fear and perhaps people demand a quick solution to get rid of Godzilla. But how? Well, remember that bioacoustic communication idea? The article on Entertainment Weekly mentions that the characters, Dr. Emma Russell (Vera Fermiga), and her daughter, Madison (Millie Bobby Brown), are kidnapped by what Dougherty says, " a mysterious organization, with their own plans for the creatures." So there is definitely something going on and my bet is that both Emma will be forced to use their discovery to start an invasion. Kyle Chandler will be playing Mark Russell, Emma's ex-husband and Madison's father, who is in cahoots with Dr. Serizawa (Ken Watanabe) from the government organization, MONARCH, to rescue his family. So perhaps there is some rivalry between MONARCH and this other secret organization.

So much news and so much I want to talk about, but it is best to save it until more news come in or until the trailer drops. This is making me VERY excited for San Diego Comic Con 2018 and I cannot wait until the day arrives. What do you think? Does this make you excited for SDCC2018 and Godzilla: King Of The Monsters or are you holding out on the hype until you see a trailer?
