NECA Reveals Godzilla 1956 Poster Version

As the title says, NECA has revealed their next Godzilla figure. This particular Godzilla is based on the 1956 American poster for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters!

The description on NECA's website goes as followed:

"NECA goes back to the movie that started the reign of the famous kaiju in the world!

This version of the beloved monster is based on the one - sheet poster for movie's 1956 U.S. release, Godzilla, King of the Monsters!

The figure measures 6" tall and 12" long from head to tail. It features 30 points of articulation, including an articulated tail! The package insert doubles as a foldable backdrop that brings the one - sheet to life - Godzilla can be posed in the fold of the backdrop creating a 3D version of the poster illustration in toy form.

Comes in collector - friendly window box packaging with opening flap."

While I do like how it is packaged, I don't see myself purchasing a repaint of the 1954 Godzilla figure. Maybe if it had an accessory like an atomic breath effect piece to go with it then I would consider purchasing it. It does look nicely painted though. This figure looks like it really captures the look of the Godzilla in the poster. If you never got the chance to pick up NECA's 1954 Godzilla figure, this could be a good alternative.

Are you going to get this Godzilla figure? Do you have the original 54 Godzilla figure? Leave a comment in the comments section on your thoughts of NECA's Godzilla 1956 Poster version figure.
