Some news have came in recently. The first announcement is the release date for the second trailer has been announced and the other came out last night coming from the toy company, NECA. So let's dive in with our first piece of news.
Trailer Release Date:
In my last post, I said to take the news about the second trailer for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters being delayed with a grain of salt and I was right about being suspicious. A couple days ago, Michael Dougherty confirmed that the release date for the second trailer will be this week, December 9th. Dougherty also confirms that the trailer will be premiering at the Comic Con Experience in Brazil. This de-confirms the claim from Screen Rant that Warner Bros. contacted them about a delay on the release of the second trailer. So be sure to save the date so you may keep an eye out for the new trailer when it lands.
NECA Announcement:
In other news, NECA has just announced on their Facebook page the first two figures in their Godzilla: King Of The Monsters line, Godzilla and Mothra. The description goes as followed:
"Godzilla: King Of The Monsters - 12" Head - to - Tail Action Figure - Godzilla (2019)"
"Godzilla: King Of The Monsters - 7" Head - to - Tail Action Figure - Mothra (2019)"
NECA is thrilled to present its first figure from the upcoming, hotly anticipated Godzilla: King Of The Monsters movie!
Based on the monster's on-screen appearance in this sequel to the 2014 Godzilla movie, the all new Godzilla is fully poseable, with 25 points of articulation. Mothra features articulated wings and includes a display base with support rod for simulated in-air poses.
Images will be available closer to the movie's release date.

Godzilla: March 2019
Mothra: April 2019
NECA is usually known to make decent action figures for collectors mostly ranging in the $25-$50 line. When it comes to their Godzilla line, it can be a hit and miss. However, with their new contract with TOHO Co. instead of Warner Bros. they have more creative freedom to make their Godzilla figures. We have already seen a glimpse of their Mothra figure when it was accidentally leaked in an article about NECA's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line. Last weekend, we got to see Mothra and Godzilla fully revealed by Tamashii Nations S.H. Monsterarts line. The question now is this which one will come out on top, NECA or S.H. Monsterarts?
What are your thoughts? Are you excited for the trailer? Are you getting any of the action figures? If so, are you more likely going with NECA or S.H. Monsterarts?
